Kate Dehnert: Echo

Part of Replay Festival

Thursday 9 July, 7:30pm

What do you do when your life explodes? A show that'll slap, tickle, shock and bend you over with laughter. 1/3 play, 1/3 standup, 1/3 rave.

Kate Dehnert's life recently blew up.

We're talking: relationship; career; income; opportunities; visa; losing almost all of her possessions; what country she lived in; she almost died; and for some incredibly annoying reason she now has a way-too-overactive gag reflex. Like, she could stand in front of you and if you told her to vomit, she could. What the hell?

And all of this only happened because the grey areas were so strong they may as well have been technicolour.

A brave, honest and vital exploration of an explosion and reconstruction of self.
